Board's Prayer
Thank you God that you have a plan and purpose for Lakeview Church to help build your kingdom. As we move onto the next step in the Life Plan project, help us see the part of the plan you are revealing to us for the next several years. Give us open minds and open hearts to hear your voice and the willingness to follow where you lead.We continue to pray for Lakeview's finances and trust that you have a plan to lead us back to a healthy position. Please guide each member and attendee as he/she seeks your leading in the area of stewardship and giving. We also ask for wisdom and creativity for Pastor Randy and the rest of the staff in using the resources You provide.
Lord, as we prepare for the Board's retreat, may this be a time of learning, building community and fellowship. Help us to seek your will on setting the priorities for the new year.
We pray for Your guidance as we review Dave's performance over the past year. Give us the wisdom we need.
Thank you God for responding to our prayers and we trust that you are answering in the very best way possible for your plan and purposes for Lakeview. Amen.
Board's Notes
As a Board, we recognize that we can't do this job without your prayer support. We especially need wisdom and discernment and to clearly hear the Holy Spirit as God leads us in our decisions.Life Plan- Strategic Planning Committees to be formed on each of the 6 major Initiatives: 1) House of Prayer, 2) Small groups, 3) Center of community, 4) Sense of family/belonging, 5) Nurturing couples and families and 6) De-centralized ministries.
Code of Conduct Committee- Board establishing a Saturday retreat for time of learning, setting priorities for rest of year, fellowship and building community
Human Resource Committee- Board, through the Board's Human Resource committee, is preparing for Senior Pastor's yearly review
Policy Update- Vacation, Rental, and Safety Policy updates are complete and available for review.
Young Teen Ministry- Will hold 3 Sunday studies and a Friday event each month.
New Board Member- Board approved nominating committee recommendation that Mike Beamish be appointed interim board member. Welcome to the team Mike!!
